What is PowerBI?

Heard of PowerBI, but not sure exactly what it is?  Here is a link to an article and video on PowerBI that I did last year.  PowerBI has come a long way since I did that video, but it should give you an overview of what it is.

There are a lot of new features and enhancements that make PowerBI an amazing business intelligence tool.  I will have more articles and videos on this in the future as well.

Are you going to the summit?

I am actually going to be attending the live event in Washington.  If you are going to be there too, then leave a comment below and let me know.  It would be great to meet up during the event!

If you get a chance to watch or attend any of the sessions, then leave a comment below sharing something new that you learned.  Thanks!

Please tell your friends and co-workers about the event as well.  Here is Microsoft’s Facebook Post  and Tweet about it, hashtag #MSDataSummit

Hello John! I just knew that the second Data Insights Summit will be held on June 12 and 13, 2017 in Seattle, WA. The site https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/datainsightssummit was updated with the information of speakers, venue information and some FAQs.

Please don’t worry, Jon, thank you very much for taking your time to let us know about the summit! If you haven’t sent the information, I would have never known about it.
Is it held every year in the same place? Is there another similar seminar/summit about Excel that will be announced during this year?

Thank you very much Jon for this valuable information! Unfortunately I learned about the course too late and didn’t have enough time to plan, get the visa and attend. How much time in advance is the summit organized so people from around the world can attend?

Sorry about that Juan. Next year I will let you know earlier. I believe they announce it at least 3 months in advance. Thanks!
