I use this for a LOT of things, but my main use is for inputting customer/supplier/product info from databases into work orders, purchase orders, client quotes, etc – and I use them beside each other to fill data from form to form in a workbook. LOVE VLookup – looking forward to learning more about input/match/offset! 😀

To Auto Insert an Employee’s Last Name, First Name, Temp Employee, Dept #, Dept Name and Position all just by entering an Employee #.

I use VLOOKUP for inventory check monthly. I receives a list of inventory items monthly and ask my engineers to comment if they would like to keep these inventory or transfer to other departments. I use Vlookup to find out items with the same part numbers which was already listed in the inventory list of last month and get the comments engineers made last month for their reference. It saves me a lot of time and now I am researching what VBA could do for me to make the whole process even more automatically.

I want to use Vlookup for employees payroll , because from payroll I want select employee’s column and print it separately for each employee
